There is currently no danger for the life of the bodyguard of the 10-year-old girl who was abducted in Bulgaria's capital Sofia on Tuesday, local media say.
10-year-old Lara, the daughter of notorious drug lord Evelin Banev aka Brendo, was abducted by masked gunmen at approximately 7:30 am on Tuesday in the affluent Sofia suburb of Boyana.
Her 36-year-old bodyguard was reportedly shot twice in the back.
The three masked gunmen who abducted the girl were allegedly driving a stolen BMW X5 vehicle.
Police expect the perpetrators to set the vehicle on fire and leave it somewhere in the outskirts of Sofia, according to the 24 Chasa daily.
Police have blocked the capital's entrance and exit points.
